March Thoughts

March… in like a lion, out like a lamb. This old saying is a reminder that change is constant and necessary for renewal and balance. In the same way, your body, mind, and spirit need diversity in movement, themes, and pace.

It’s time to break your routine and try something new.

Your body is a versatile, adaptable instrument that craves change. Still, your heart and spirit want routine and safety. Variation in physical activity is essential for the overall health of your body. It also keeps your mind engaged. Trying something new keeps us humble; we stumble, fall, get back up, and try again. This attitude demands that we are respectful of ourselves and others. But we get it. It can be scary.

First-time experiences often turn into lessons that profoundly and usefully change our perspective. You still walk away from a less-than-perfect new experience knowing more than you knew when you went into it, and there’s value in that.

Being forgiving, patient, and kind to yourself is essential whenever you're trying something new. Even if the experience is enjoyable, you’re still pushing your boundaries, and you’re bound to feel more vulnerable.

Our number one priority at MBDY + be is to provide a supportive space to explore strength, flexibility, intensity, softness, and creative expression. Your body was designed to do amazing things, don’t limit it!

We challenge you to move outside of your comfort zone. Take a new class, introduce yourself to a new friend in the studio, or prioritize yourself.

However you choose to challenge yourself, we are here for you.

With Gratitude,
Elease
