December Thoughts
This month's message has been challenging for me to assemble and release. I have been inundated with thoughts and ideas. And in my attempts to organize and commit to just one topic or theme, I have been in a loop of mental stress, fear of not doing enough, and focusing on details that do not matter. And in this chaotic state, I have not enjoyed the process of writing and communicating with you.
And then it dawned on me. Do less! That is the message. Do less!
I have been saying it in the studio, but have not accepted it myself. It is a great gift to yourself and others to do less. If doing more mean stress and a loss of joy, then bring it down a notch.
No one will remember if you didn't get the imported capers for the charcuterie board, or the fancy cookies, or the candles that match the napkins. All they really want is to create memories and traditions that have less to do with planning and purchasing and more to do with retelling stories, creating new memories and moments of just being together.
And so in the spirit of paring down, I simply want to wish you all Happy Holidays and express my gratitude for you and your support.
Happy Holidays,
Elease
