Becoming a parent is a life-changing experience, and the first six months can be especially challenging. From dealing with colic and breastfeeding to navigating sleeping schedules and your baby's first cold - it can be overwhelming. Our course is designed to provide research-based tips and advice to help you not only survive but also enjoy this special time in your life. We will spend 7 weeks getting to know each other, sharing personal experiences and challenges as well asa celebrating each others victories.  Getting out of the house might be scary in the beginning, but it also helps so much. Your baby is crying or had a blowout? Don't worry, we all are in the same boat and are for any help you might need. 

My name is Elena Phelps, and I am the proud founder of The Village. As a mother of two wonderful boys, Jonny & Charlie, I understand the challenges of navigating motherhood without a support system. When my first child was born, I found myself feeling uncertain and anxious without any close family or friends with children nearby. However, I was fortunate enough to discover a mommy & me group in Hermosa Beach, CA, that became my lifeline to sanity. Even after moving away, I remain incredibly close to those mothers. When I moved to North County San Diego and became pregnant with our second, to my surprise, I realized similar groups do not exist here. Therefore, I decided to create The Village. I've collaborated with many professionals, including doulas, pelvic floor specialists, and sleep consultants, to create a program that supports and inspires mothers through all the ups and downs of motherhood. Utilizing my background in psychology, child development certification, and extensive preschool teaching experience, I applied these skills to craft a unique program, enhancing support for mothers in different stages of motherhood. I am passionate about connecting a vibrant community of San Diego moms and building a support system we all can rely on.
