June Thoughts
MBDY + be. STRONG!
With over 30 years in the dance and fitness industry, I have seen trends come and go. I have seen information and advice shift from one extreme to another and watched the confusion and frustration.
We all want to be balanced, healthy, and happy. So why does finding our way to this goal seem so difficult?
It doesn't have to be.
With my recent βgiftβ from the universe (my broken foot), I have had time to think about the best path to living a healthy, balanced life. One thought that continues to pop up is returning to the basics we know. A strong body is the foundation for every positive change we want to make.
The health and wellness community is not just recognizing, but empowering women of all ages and life stages with the knowledge of the critical role of strength training in a balanced fitness routine and healthy lifestyle.
Strength training is not just about improving body aesthetics. It's about embracing positive changes. Lean body mass can aid in fat loss, but more importantly, a strength training program can bring about very real and often life-changing benefits.
Development of Good Movement Patterns
Improvement of Self-Confidence
Increasing Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR)
Decreased Risk of Metabolic Syndrome
Improvement of Bone Mineral Density
This month, we are focusing on strength as a primary tenet of a balanced, healthy, and happy life. We are excited to announce the premiere of our new class, Strength + Sweat with Alex, on Thursday evenings at 5:30 PM. This class is the perfect balance between strength mobility and cardio. We are also adding a second Pilates Fusion class with Ashley on Monday evenings at 5:30 PM. This class is a game changer. If you know, you know. π If you haven't taken it yet, youβre missing out on an opportunity to build strength and endurance while maintaining a healthy spine and a strong core.
I invite you to MBDY + be. strong, together. Weβll see in class.
With Gratitude,
Elease
